Daylily Cottage

A fun little carved residential sign we created for a vacation cottage in Cooperstown NY.

Residential work gives us room to sculpt. The daylilies are carved in layered relief so the petals genuinely overlap and cast their own shadows, then hand-painted in three tones of orange and cream. The house number sits in gilded letters on the arched header, and the whole panel hangs from a wrought iron bracket.
